Biography...the story so far

I grew up in Cornwall and began my studies there with a wonderful artist Beryl Chapple . I attended Exeter University to continue with Fine Art and Photography and then a degree in Textile Design in Somerset where i am now based . My Textile work has included making 18th Century historical costumes for private clients and the National Trust here in Somerset . Photography and image making have always been my passion .

I use a Pentax  DSLR camera and lenses . I have recently returned to 35mm film photography and have acquired a refurbished vintage Pentax slr camera .

Music is my happy place , i am a jazz fan , current favourites include the wonderful Robert Glasper Ibrahim Maalouf  Nubya Garcia  Marcus Miller  John Coltrane and Kyle Eastwood  my taste in music extends to Richie Havens and  Scottish singer Julie Fowlis .

Environmental issues are really important to me and the challenges we all face and  I am passionate about animal welfare .

I hope my work reflects my love of the outdoors , beautiful places across the UK and most importantly here at home in Somerset .

I am a member of  Shutter Hub and The Royal Photographic Society .
